Biography

Irene Bisschop studied Animal Sciences at Wageningen University and Research, and graduated in 2020. She followed courses in the field of veterinary epidemiology and animal health. Both her Bachelor and Master thesis were focussed on veterinary epidemiology, where she studied the role of vaccination against bovine tuberculosis in badgers and the relationship between ambient temperature on the day of gamma interferon bleeding and subsequent test result to bovine tuberculosis in cattle. After her internship at Royal GD, she started working in the Epidemiology group as a junior researcher.
