GD is a Contract Research Organisation deeply embedded within the Dutch veterinary industry but with a mission to improve animal health worldwide. We employ veterinary experts on a wide variety of topics, R&D scientists in different disciplines, epidemiologists, lab technicians and biotechnicians, animal care workers and project managers supporting you in bringing your product to the market. Contract research by our experts

In this video we take you inside Royal GD, one of Europe's largest veterinary research facilities. As a contract research organisation we support our customers companies in designing, performing and analyzing the studies that you need in order to bring your products to the market from proof of concept to registration.

With our animal health experts and advanced laboratory facilities, we can analyse a wide range of samples, including pathogen detection, immune response measurement and residue analysis. Research and Development

GD has a Research and Development department with highly specialized scientists (veterinary laboratory diagnosticians and epidemiologists) and technicians in various laboratory disciplines.

The R&D department offers its expertise in various disciplines such as epidemiology, (bio)chemistry, virology, molecular biology, immunology, parasitology, bacteriology, and histology. The department is heavily involved in animal studies but also works on a stand-alone basis.

GD operates under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001 (data security) and the majority of our diagnostic tests are validated under ISO 17025. In addition we can conduct studies in compliance with the OECD principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and have obtained an endorsement of compliance from the Dutch GLP inspectorate. We conduct studies in accordance with international standards and guidelines such as the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.), VICH and OIE and run our clinical studies following Good Clinical Practice guidelines. Our quality standards

Expert session: Cryptosporidium parvum calf model

Missed our insightful webinar on the Cryptosporidium parvum calf model? Now you can watch the replay. During the webinar our experts Debora Smits and Erik van Engelen discussed the development and use of the Cryptosporidium parvum calf model. The importance of C. parvum infection, the mechanism of disease and burden of disease will be described. Additionally, they showed how an experimental model gives more insight in the course of infection and gives tools for the evaluation of preventive or curative measures.
