Biography

After her study in veterinary medicine in Utrecht, she worked at the Veterinary Faculty in Utrecht, the Animal Health Service in Boxtel, and the Central Veterinary Institute in Lelystad. She completed her PhD entitled “Vaccinology and epidemiology of bovine herpesvirus 1 infections” in 2000 and joined the GD Animal Health in Deventer. She is senior veterinary researcher having expertise in immune diagnostics, epidemiology, laboratory quality, and ruminant infectious diseases. She is veterinary cattle specialist. She is a member of the Dutch Veterinary Association of Epidemiology & Economics (VEEC) and the European Society for Veterinary Virology.
