Marian Aalberts, DVM, PhD

Marian Aalberts studied Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University. After graduation in 2004, she worked as a Junior Teacher at the department of Biochemistry and Cell Biology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht. In 2008, she obtained a Basic Teaching Qualification of the Utrecht University. From 2006-2012 she worked as a PhD student on the characteristics and function of prostasomes, extracellular vesicles of prostate cells. After joining the department of Research and Development of Royal GD in 2011, her work includes the development, accreditation and quality of immunodiagnostic tests for ruminants. She also works as a project and program leader of research projects. In 2021, she qualified as a specialist in Veterinary Microbiology.
