Employment conditions

In addition to a great job and a competitive salary, we offer attractive and extensive employment benefits. GD has a company-specific Collective Labour Agreement and supplementary schemes.

Financial

You will receive a fixed year-end bonus every year. You will also receive a contribution towards your health insurance premium and we offer an excellent pension scheme.

Leave

In addition to 25 holiday days, you are also entitled to 11 ADV days (days off in connection with the Dutch Reduction of Working Hours Scheme) as well as the option to purchase additional leave days. Because we know that, however much you enjoy your work, we all need to relax and recharge once in a while.

Working hours

GD believes strongly in ensuring a good work-life balance. So what time you start work is up to you. You should carry out your work between 8 am and 6 pm. Depending on your role, working from home may also be an option. Working part-time is not a problem in most roles. The type of work you carry out does need to allow for this, however.

Customisable employment benefits

In addition to the ‘standard’ employment benefits, we also offer a wide range of customisable benefits:

  • It is possible to purchase up to 40 additional hours of leave per year (pro rata for part-time employees).
  • Additional holiday days above the statutory minimum can also be sold.
  • You can exchange part of your gross salary for an additional travel allowance.

Development opportunities | GD Education Track

The quality of the service we provide is directly linked to the quality of our employees. Personal and professional development are therefore very important to us. All our employees work continuously to develop their professional knowledge, skills and competencies, whether they are senior or have just joined us. Some of this development happens naturally through your day-to-day work as you learn on the job. You can also use the GD Education Track to supplement this. You can register for a wide range of training sessions and e-learning courses. This allows you to continue to work towards achieving your personal and professional ambitions.

Especially for new employees

We have developed an introduction programme especially for new employees, which focuses on knowledge about GD and development of professional knowledge and skills such as communication. The courses available include Animal Health Monitoring, Diagnostics and Project Management.
