The Research and Development (R&D) department develops new products and improves existing products for the animal sector. In addition, the team supports the animal sectors with the acquisition and implementation of externally funded research, monitoring, solving problems in service provision and answering questions about products and services.

In our modern laboratory in Deventer, we perform approximately five million analyzes for our customers every year with approximately one hundred employees. In addition to research into diseases in animals, we also conduct large-scale research to gain insight into the animal health situation in the Netherlands. Large-scale diagnostics are central to the laboratory.

GD works with approximately ninety veterinarians, specialists and scientists on animal health. They do this by setting up animal health programs, developing tests, sharing knowledge and developing products about animal health, veterinary diagnostics, laboratory research and data at an international level.

Our staff departments ensure the right preconditions so that our substantive specialists in the laboratory and in the animal sectors can fully focus on improving animal health.
