GD is an independent and market-oriented company with expertise in animal health. We are active in the following departments:
The Research and Development (R&D) department develops new products and improves existing products for the animal sector. In addition, the team supports the animal sectors with the acquisition and implementation of externally funded research, monitoring, solving problems in service provision and answering questions about products and services.

In our modern laboratory in Deventer, we perform approximately five million analyzes for our customers every year with approximately one hundred employees. In addition to research into diseases in animals, we also conduct large-scale research to gain insight into the animal health situation in the Netherlands. GD works with approximately ninety veterinarians, specialists and scientists on animal health. They do this by setting up animal health programs, developing tests, sharing knowledge and developing products about animal health, veterinary diagnostics, laboratory research and data at an international level.

Placements and internships
During a placement or internship you will learn how to apply the theory you were taught during your studies in the real world, while gaining relevant work experience. You will see how things are done on the work floor and experience the sector in practice.
As a knowledge organisation, we regularly offer interesting internships and placements. At Royal GD we believe in the power of sharing. Knowledge sharing combines insights and experiences from different perspectives, resulting in new knowledge for both parties.
