For which purposes does GD use your personal data?

Your personal data is used for an effective and efficient business operation, delivery of products and services and, among other things, more particularly for carrying out the following activities:

For example, the name, address details, e-mail address, telephone number, bank account number of a customer or its representatives are recorded and, if necessary, are amended if they change. The processing of personal data is based on an agreement entered into with the business relation, or the legitimate interest of GD Animal Health to maintain relationships because this is necessary within the context of normal business operations.

  • GD also processes personal data if customers register via the ZetLogin portal. This portal provides customers with access to online services of GD such as VeeOnline, GDwebshop and ZetFactuur. Via these services you obtain insight into your business data, orders or invoices. Based on this data GD can give you personal advice with regard to your business operations and optimize the services to you as a customer. The processing of your personal data is necessary to be able to implement the agreement with you with regard to these services or, if necessary, is based on your consent. GD can also use this personal data to resolve complaints.

  • Personal data such as your unique company number (UBN) may be processed for research purposes, such as research into the prevention and treatment of animal diseases and other research into the improvement of animal health. The processing mostly involves anonymisation or pseudonymisation of your data. It may concern (internal) (scientific) research and research that is carried out at the request of third parties. The processing is, as necessary, based on consent of the persons involved or on a legitimate interest of GD because the research contributes to the optimisation of its products and services and contributes to animal health in general.

Where necessary, personal data is processed within this context on the basis of consent. For direct marketing purposes, the personal data of business relations is processed based on a legitimate interest because these activities are considered to be part of the normal business operations of GD .

Consider, for example, sending information about new products or services and (other) information with regard to animal health via (digital) newsletters or otherwise. Personal data can also be processed with a view to providing information about, for example, conferences, lectures, presentations, workshops or other meetings. Consent will be requested, if necessary, for providing information for newsletters and/or the option will be given to unsubscribe. Processing for other communication purposes is based on the legitimate interests of GD because this is carried out within the context of activities that belong to the normal business operations of GD.

  • Persons in search of employment can among other things enter their personal data via the GD website; an additional privacy statement has been drawn up with regard to this data, which can find here (link).

  • When visiting our office, visitors are requested to provide personal data such as name and business contact details with a view to the security of persons, buildings and information.
