In response to the ongoing global challenge of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), we have developed veterinary diagnostic products with the latest antigens for H5N1 and H5N8 strains. These antigens are inactivated and specifically designed for use in the haemagglutination inhibition (HI) test to ensure accurate detection of antibodies in poultry.
H5N8 remains highly contagious and fatal to birds, with a potential, although currently limited, risk to humans. However, the H5N1 strain poses a greater threat to human health. Standard protocols require annual veterinary testing of all poultry farms for antibodies to avian influenza. Our H5N1 and H5N8 antigens are essential tools for accurate monitoring and rapid response to potential outbreaks, ensuring the health and safety of both poultry and humans.
With the newly developed microplate test standard, you can standardise the HI test and read the microplate at an angle of 45 degrees. This makes it easier to read the test, especially the so-called tear formation.
