  • Since 2021, Royal GD has a test available for genotyping of Avibacterium paragallinarum. Genotyping of strains enables us to monitor the introduction of possible new (potentially pathogenic) strains and to link any outbreaks. Read more

  • In the Netherlands, the focus lies on a sustainable dairy herd with a longer working life. That is only possible if cows are kept healthy to an older age. In 2021, GD conducted an in-depth study into the relationship between working life and animal health. Read more

  • As of 2018, the IBV D181 strain is regularly found in Dutch layer and parent flocks, which suffer decreased egg production, reduced egg quality and increased mortality. In research commissioned by the poultry sector, GD discovered that D181 can also cause false layer syndrome, as well as renal damage in young chicks. As there is no commercial vaccine to combat D181, it was time to study the effect of various vaccine combinations. Read more
